Black Sesame Seeds, Hei Zhi Ma, are a great source of nourishment for the body. They are great for your eye sight, slow the greying of hair, moisten the large intestine helping with constipation, are good for your Yin.
There is a very high Vitamin E content in black sesame seeds. Vitamin E is a powerful anti-oxidant that protects against free radical damage & protects against aging. It promotes cell division, which is necessary for healing & protects against toxins.
Ok so now that you have them in your kitchen, what do you do with them? Generally a teaspoon or so a day is a good start. They can be put on any food you enjoy! Salads, oatmeal, toast, eggs, etc. I keep them in a jar by where I cook & put a pinch on whatever I am eating.
