Beauty in any form takes you out of your head & into your heart. You don’t need to think about something beautiful. It just is. It reaches you on a different level. Certain aromas, visual representations, or a song create highways in our brain that lead us to compassion, gratitude, & joy. Every time we make a new pathway in our brain we open ourselves up & create space for new ideas or patterns to form.

Aphrodite, the goddess of love, is often depicted with roses at her feat & around her head. The rose has a beautiful aroma that gives almost everyone pause as they drink it in. Each petal laying on top of each other & open in its own spiral dance. As it blooms it shows you a beautiful, bright center. When we encounter these beautiful blooms it is almost impossible not to pause & drink them in.

Acupuncture is based on the idea that stuck qi, or energy, causes disease. Trauma lives in our bodies, in our blood & bones. The trauma sits there & incubates over time & gives rise to mental, emotional, & physical problems. To resolve & release the trauma we first need to manipulate the physical body. A physical detox so to speak. Acupuncture helps to move the stuck energy of the body so that blood may flow easier & healing can occur.

In Asian medicine the 7 emotions that are associated with disease are anger, joy, worry, pensiveness, grief, fear, & fright. Each organ in the body has a mental, emotional, & spiritual function. When emotions are repressed or prolonged, they can block the smooth flow of Qi. Your face is an organic map of our emotions; it is how we express ourselves.  Over time physical & emotional stresses that have become stuck in the body show up on our face. When that stuck stress is released healing can occur. The body possess innate wisdom & tells us when we are ready to heal something & where that healing should be directed. Acupuncture activates the energy in our body & helps to bring the unconscious to the conscious, boosts the immune system to enable us to handle the detox, & helps us find where we are stuck.

Facial renewal acupuncture is more than an alternative to dangerous beauty options, it is a way to access stuck stress & emotional blockage. Each line on the face is made by a thought triggered by an emotion. As we detox the physical body, allow Qi & blood to flow freely to the face, & heal the line, we also work backward to the emotional body & release that too.

For example, the line most frequently Botoxed is the one that forms in the middle of the forehead, in the corrugator muscle. This area of the face represents the Liver & is associated with anger & frustration. A single line here often shows anger that has been turned in on oneself. Recent studies have shown that when this muscle is frozen people lose their ability to recognize or fully express anger. By working on this line with facial acupuncture not only does the line disappear but a more healthy relationship with this emotion can develop in the process.

This organic process of healing layer by layer means that wrinkles come off & stay off. Conscious Beauty is a bit like the rose. You carefully peal back each petal to access the inner vitality that you hold inside you, & that inner vitality flowers to your face!
